夏延秋，1999年获东北大学机械工程学院博士学位；2000-2002年中国科学院兰州化学物理研究所固体润滑国家重点实验室博士后；2005-2007年日本产业技术研究所（aist）工作；2008年获得中国科学院“百人计划”项目支持。现任华北电力大学能源动力与机械工程学院教授，动力机械及工程专业博士生导师，中国科学院固体润滑国家重点实验室兼职研究员。 主持完成包括国家自然科学基金、北京市基金和军工项目在内的各类项目30余项；申报和授权国家发明专利20余项；获省市级科技进步三等奖2项（排名第一）

研究方向：先进耐磨材料制备与高性能化研究； 研究成果：在Acta Materialia、Wear、Tribology Letter、RSC Advance、Journal of Alloys and Compounds、Applied Surface Science、Computational Materials Science等国内外重要刊物上发表学术论文60余篇，以第一作者或通讯作者发表论文30余篇，目前相关论文已被SCI引用600余次。授权国家发明专利20余项，获中国有色金属工业科学技术奖一等奖1项（排名第三）、教育部技术发明一等奖1项（排名第八）、广东省科学技术奖三等奖1项（排名第四）
